2021 hobie compass
Kayak was far more than I can imagine. The drive that comes with it is fast, steering mechanism was superb for its size. The kayak handles really well on water. In all, I love it.

2020 Hobie Compass Camo
I’d rather rate this kayak 5 stars than say it’s a 4. In actuality it’s more like 4.5 stars. The kayak is nice & light, very nimble on the water & like every Hobie kayak, very modifiable! I give it 4.5 stars only because there is no perfect kayak & everyone will find that one thing that they just don’t like. For me, that thing is the seat. While it is fairly comfortable it does have a flaw. The bar in the rear after a few hours starts to push against the tailbone which makes me reposition often to get off of it. But aside from that, this kayak kicks ass! It’s $800 cheaper & 24lbs lighter than its big brother the outback, yet it’s just as long & wide. Not quite as stable as the outback but it’s pretty darn close! All in all I’m happy with this purchase.
